Town parks are formal parks, always irrigated, with paved areas, often with major architecturally designed features, sculptures, mainly planted with introduced or exotic trees and shrubs. These parks are located adjacent to the main town centres, and are designed for intensive use. They may host special events.

• Walking or strolling with young children
• Lunchtime relaxation
• Social and family acitivities
• Formal gatherings such as weddings.
