Associations

The ACT Down Syndrome Association Inc is a self help organisation, founded in 1987 by a group of dedicated parents. The Association exists to provide support and information to families with a member who has Down syndrome, and to stimulate awareness in the wider community of the capabilities and needs of people with down Syndrome.

The Canberra Deaf Children’s Association (CDCA) is a non-profit community organisation that endeavors to provide support and information to parents and families on issues affecting deaf and hearing-impaired children. Membership is open to parents, relatives and friends of deaf and hearing-impaired children.  Membership includes borrowing rights for the Toy and Resource Library and a monthly newsletter.
