What is it?

Red Baron Laser Skirmish (RBLS) brings excitement through playing a game that tests an individual’s ability to think, plan and communicate. Through the use of infra-red gaming equipment, either at our bush ‘battlefield’ next to Rydges Eagle Hawk Resort or mobile ‘battlefield’ at your place, gamers experience a ‘live’ interpretation of what they might be playing when competing in a computer or video game.

Laser skirmish or exergaming is sweeping the world. RBLS takes you to the centre of the action by placing you and your team in the middle of an ever changing scenario where your team’s and your actions count. Never before has gaming been so much fun, while at the same time being a highly charged physically activity.

What happens?

Recruits are expected to arrive at our Eagle Hawk Battlefield 15 mins prior to your session. You will first be required to report to our RBLS Check Point, where you will be signed in, complete your enlistment papers (Membership and indemnity form), be allocated to a team and be briefed on your equipment and mission. Once all enlistment requirements are completed the armoury will be opened for equipment selection. Recruits can hire a set of camos for $5 if needed, otherwise long pants and closed in shoes are the order of the day.

Recruits are provided with water during their mission, with other drinks and snacks available from the RBLS canteen.

Order of Command

The RBLS Operations and Logistics Commander is responsible for field operations. No recruit will be allowed to continue play, if the RBLS Scenario Rules are breached in any way. For your peace of mind, all RBLS staff are first aid trained.

Session Times

Public sessions are held during the school holidays and every Saturday and Sunday and Public holidays after 2.00pm. Bookings are essential. While there are no minimum numbers per group, sessions will not run unless 10 players are confirmed. Cost: $35 per player for two and half hours. Private sessions are held by appointment at a day and time negotiated with RBLS. Groups must have 10 or more players. Cost: $ 1000 for groups up to 20 on Sat or Sun. $50 pp thereafter. $800 for groups up to 20 Mon- Fri. $40pp thereafter.

Corporate Groups are also invited to get active and once the mission is completed, enjoy a relaxing drink or meal at Rydges Resort. Cost is by negotiation.
