Vala Club is a unique program of Fantasy Role-Playing & Writing designed for imaginative young people 10 – 16 years age range.

Developed by rogue anthropologist and writer Math Long, Vala Club presents in a new form some of the oldest methods known to develop expression and writing skills, to safely explore diverse experiences, and to turn weaknesses into strengths. All while having great fun and interacting with other like-minded young people!

Fantasy Role-Playing:

Swords, Sorcery, Subterfuge & Secret Sciences
Fantasy Role-Playing & Tabletop Gaming using a variant of the d20 game system originally from Dungeons & Dragons.

Fantasy Writing:

Characterisation, Adventure, and Strange Fates
Discover secret methods of storytelling from the dawn of legend, and publish Wyrd Tales online.

This Winter in Canberra Vala Club pushes the boundaries of fantasy into a dimension (genre) where science and sorcery are virtually indistinguishable, and where super-powers and subterfuge are wielded more powerfully than any sword.

Held in the excellently appointed art wing of Yarralumla Primary School.
All workshops are from 9am – 5pm with morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch provided.
(Optional extras: Early Start yoga & breakfast 8 – 9am & Late Finish storytelling and refreshments 5 – 6pm)
